1.  Spreadsheet Models for Urban and Regional Analysis edited by Richard E. Klosterman, Richard K. Brail, and Earl G. Bossard.   The book explains and provides the details associated with modeling techniques fitted to demographic, economic, and environmental analysis and forecasting along with systems for management and decision making.   While it is best suited for those with a statistical analysis background, it is not an insurmountable work to understand and utilize for those actively engaged in data analysis.
